Well so far it seems like the laser surgery on my eye has helped a lot. So far it had brought the pressure down almost 10 points in that one eye. I am glad. I go back to the doc and have it checked again in two weeks and in about a month I go back to see the surgeon who actually did the laser. He is on a trip to Africa for several weeks.
Those places that the other doc took off my nose and arm are doing fine. One was a Basel cancer but he says he got deep enough to get it all and if I have any more problems to let him know and he will do further work.
We have two boxes of Eastern Bluebirds nesting in our yard, one box in front and one in the back yard so I have been enjoying watching them go in and out taking food to the babies.
I watched the male bird get a short bath yesterday but knew if I moved to get the camera he would be gone. This is the female coming out after feeding.
I haven't had a chance to get any pictures of the other pair but this is the box they are using.
I very seldom get to see the babies after they fledge.
My Hydrangea bush has been blooming beautifully.
Tomato vines, Better boy.
Sweet 100 tomatoes and boy are they sweet LOL.
Have a blessed day everyone. Helen
Beautiful pictures. Glad to ko wht birds go to church!!!!!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteOn the alert I received I at first thought the bird house was a new outhouse at your house! ha! Getting old my eyes playing tricks.
Thanks for the update and the reports. Glad all is going well, I know you all can use some good news.
Wow the tomatoes look great, I want a tomato sandwich!!
I would be a little leary of the Surgeon who does the surgery then takes off to parts unknown in Africa!!!!
Prayers for continued good reports and Love sent from the mountains of NC
You should send those tomato photos to DAD. I'm sure he would love to post them on his blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the bluebird.
I'm glad your eyes are feeling better. That is great news.
Take care.
Beautiful pictures. I'm so glad you are having good results from the surgery. May they continue to improve. Love the pink hydrangea, I only see blue ones down here. The tomatoes look great. Hope your weekend is going well, Sheila
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear of your good news and see all the beautiful pictures. I've not see any blue birds in our area. I've heard that they like the wetland areas here in Ohio and many places have been turned into reserves for them.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, Helen! I know "Dad" would love seeing those photos, you'll have to share with him.
ReplyDeleteI know it must be tough waiting for news from the doctor. Hang in there!
It's good to hear from you and that things are going well. I love your hydrangea and your little bluebirds. My hydrangea is pink also but not as full as yours. We had another huge rain today. The up side is we will be happy when the water bill comes and is small. I am so glad that we have laser surgery and that yours went well. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that your eye is doing some better Helen! I love those pictures! Your tomatoes re so pretty too!
ReplyDeletelove,
carlene
Good Morning,The flowers, the birds, the tomatoes and the good news bring forth joyous smiles. I hope you wear a big hat while working in your garden. If you use sunscreen, "Badger" is excellent. It is a bit expensive but your sensitive skin is worth it. Keep well. Aloha, Sara's aunt
ReplyDeleteSo glad the pressure is down and hope all continues to go well. The birds have a good nesting area and good homes for their babies around your home. I know you enjoy seeing them come and go feeding their babies. The flowers, tomatoes are all so awesome. Bet you will have some great salads from those tomatoes soon. Hope your rain comes our way...none for us...we sure need it. Have a great week...love, Joyce
ReplyDeleteSo enjoyed the pictures! And I am so happy to hear good news about your eyes and health. I adore bluebirds.
ReplyDeleteOh those tomatoes look incredibly good. And the Hydrangea bush is very beautiful. But I always expect you to have beautiful flower photos. Glad that the laser surgery is working on your eyes. These eye surgeons can do wonderful things. I thought my surgeon was wonderful who took off my cataracts.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see a post from you and know things are going better there. John is doing well from his catarack surgery and will have the other eye done end of next month. They don't know if this one will do as well.

ReplyDeleteHelen,
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your surgeries and procedures, I am sure they aren't pleasant. But glad they were able to help you!
Your pictures are always a delight to view and I love seeing them!
xx Merry
This is my first year growing tomatoes. I have three roma plants, and I have about a hundred tomatoes on them ... But they are all still green! Seeing your green tomatoes makes me feel a little better about it. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
ReplyDeleteGreat images - and quit getting older, and no more health problems! (Me Too) Have a great day and week. Get out and take some images, smile some, eat some and make someones day.
ReplyDeleteHi Helen,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you're recovering well. The surgery hasn't damaged your eye for a good picture. I love the one of the bird leaving the nesting box.
Your tomatoes are faring better than mine.

I am happy that you have got a better eye vision through your laser surgery. The way you explain things are great and beautiful. My best wishes to you.
ReplyDeleteIt's been almost a week, since you had the spots removed. Hope all is going well. The flowers look beautiful. Ours aren't looking quite that good right now, we moved them, probably should have waited. I bet those tomatoes are extra sweet. I love tomatoes with a little salt, can almost make a meal from them, with a piece of soft buttered bread. Hope you have a great 4th. of July week-end.
ReplyDeleteI love to watch birds. I should put up a bird box next year. I'm happy to hear your eye surgery went well so you can continue to enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteeverything looks wonderful! and It's MORE then wonderful the surgery went well!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th Helen!
I love growing tomatos and yours look great. Have a great fourth of July!
ReplyDeleteJimmy
I am glad your eye is better. As usual your flowers look lovely and your photos are great.
ReplyDeleteThank the Good Lord that your laser surgeries went well. I know this gets to be old hat seeing me type this (well, maybe not considering the surgeries) but you really have a great talent with the camera! Those pictures are awesome... God Bless you and yours Helen...

I am happy for you with the surgery being successfull. The female bluebird just sticking out it's head shows distinctive colors I have not seen before. Maybe a telophoto shot would be fun to try, as I did with my camera just to see the different quality's in each. My two tomato plants are 'early girl' variety. All the photo's are great. mark/salty
ReplyDeleteI just clicked on the bluebird/house and the resulting photo was enlarged with great detail. Wonderfull mark
ReplyDeleteI once had a bunch of bad cells removed from my nose and they were replaced by a skin graft. Glad to hear that yours has worked out fine too.

So happy Helen, that your eyes are on the upswing. And thanks for continuing to visit me up north. We love to watch the bluebirds too as the look before dropping to the ground for a bug or splashing in the birdbath. They sure are beautiful. Your hydrangeas are gorgeous. My Annabelle's are white at first, then turning green. I pick them at that point and dry them for winter indoor bouquets all over the house.
ReplyDeleteAbout my Mother and her trek to the mailbox, we have all told her to carry her pistol, but she insists, she's just getting the mail. The wolves are so fearless around people, it's scary. They have been killing cats, dogs, calves right out of yards and around the buildings in the area. The DNR is still protecting them rather than people. The day is coming when a child or man, is going to get carried away. They just killed and carried away a 600 lb. steer., can ya believe it, right by the guys barn. The DNR came out, tagged and radio collared the wolf that they actually caught the next night, and let it go. Nuff said...that's why it scares me about Mom.
