One thing after another

Sunday evening I got so weak I could hardly walk across the floor. Chest pains and pressure and I thought I was going to pass out. I went ahead and toughed it out because I thought acid reflux was the problem. I have done that about 3 times with acid reflux in the past. Early Monday morning we went on to the emergency room where I stayed for several hours and they admitted me where I stayed until mid afternoon today. They did all kinds of blood work and X-rays along with a stress test given by meds and scans. The chest hurting was acid related but the weakness was caused by me being anemic. The doc said I was losing blood some where and was going to do the light bulb thing tomorrow. After my insurance found out it wasn't my heart they wouldn't pay for another night in the hospital so I will have to have that done as an outpatient later. I will call tomorrow and set up a time to get that done. I still have some blood in my urine also and it wasn't mentioned when they dismissed me. I will try to get this stomach issue done with before I take any antibiotics for the kidneys. I don't think my tummy could take any right now. I just took some for that about 3 weeks ago.
We never know what is going to crop up next. Poor Ken had to worry about me and be here with Mira some to help her with her IV and fix her something to eat part of the time because she can't stand long enough to do that. She is not doing any better with that back. Still using the walker to get short distances. We still need your prayers and good thoughts.

Mira sent some flowers to me in the hospital today so I had to take a picture so everyone could see them. I was very proud to get them. She said she wanted to send them to me for everything I had done for her besides she only had one Mother LOL.

Love to you all. Helen

How kind of your daughter to send you flowers, when she is still recovering herself. Mira's a gem, and she truly appreciates her momma!

  19. Don't you just "love" health insurance companies? They sure want our money, but they don't want to pay for anything we need.

    Take care of yourself.

  20. HElen, May you be feeling well soon and your daughter also. The flowers are beautiful!Ihavebeen meaning to mention how one of your prwyers influenced me during my hospital stay. I remember reading a prayer you had written in a comment to someone once who was worried for she was facing surgery the next day. You asked in a prayer that she be filled with calm when the time came.I found that very beautiful and I remembered it when I was facing surgery on an artery to have a blockage remove whileI was lying on a stretcher outside the operating room doors. I thought of you and your beautiful prayer and i was filled with calm.Thank you for having written those beautiful words!. Thank you! Thanknk you!Although the words weren't written to me I absorbed them as if they were and I believed your prayer could be answered. may all the prayers said for you and your dsughter be answered.

  21. What a beautiful bouquet which you well deserve, but stress has to be the main cause to your present ailment, and you need to be able to rest and relax the worst way. I just hope that there will be an easing of the tension you have been feeling. I am even a little glad you are getting doctor support right now because that can help stave off worse reactions. You needed help of some sort. Gerry

  23. I'm really glad to hear Mira has come home. I was shocked to hear you have been in the hospital. I'm so glad it wasn't your heart. I have acid reflux too, and it's NO fun, is it? I take Prilosec everyday, but it doesn't always help me. Please take care of yourself and make that appointment. I will keep all of you in my prayers every night.
    Hugs and Love,
    Pat

  26. You need to take better care of yourself. I had some of your problems the last time i was in the hospital. Passing blood in my urine was a kidney stone working through the kidney. I was on so much dope for the pains in my collapsed lung that it helped and i eventually passed it. Have not had any blood since.

Acid reflux is nasty stuff as you know. I take some medicine for it to prevent outbreaks. And that sure has helped.

Take care, Helen. Thanks for your visits.
