Hi everyone, I see it has been a while since my last post.
It is so hot and humid that we are just taking it easy. It's suppose to reach 100º today. I know a lot of people are experiencing  more heat than that but here in Alabama that is really hot.

I am supposed to go tomorrow and have the cataract removed in my right eye. The pressure finally went down in the left eye after having laser surgery on it but I still have to use drops to keep the pressure down.
Not much else is going on except Ken is having a time keeping the grass cut. The hot weather and showers really makes the grass shoot up.
Here are a few zinnias that are still blooming. I saw a beautiful yellow butterfly on them this morning  but it was here and gone quickly.

I hope everyone has a blessed afternoon. Helen

  1. It has been a hot humid summer here too. We get a few days relief now and then but overall it's hot. Your pictures are beautiful. So colorful and cheerful. I'll be praying your surgery goes well. Take care!

  2. 100 is HOT!

Your zinnias are beautiful. For some reason, I forgot to plant any this season! I guess I'll have to be happy admiring yours.

Hope your cataract surgery goes well, and gives you some relief.

Tell Ken to take it easy. Short grass is overrated. Wonder when the natural look of long grass will come into fashion?

  4. I love your zinnias!! They are my favorite flower. They must like the heat and it is hot here in Michigan also and lots of rain have made gigantic weeds. Cataract surgery is amazing, thinking of you and all the best.
