Good morning everybody. Yesterday was a better day for me. I layed in the backseat of the car and went with Ken to get our two dogs their shots updated. I got so sorry for them. There were so happy to get to go ride then was so disappointed when they saw where they were. Daisy went to their glass door and kept whining to get out. Ken had to pull her away from it. We didn't have to sit but around 5 minutes before they called us in. Patches pulled back on her lease so the technician had to pick her up and carry her to the weighing machine, She weighed a little over 13 lbs but Daisy has made a chubby girl. She went over 19 lbs. She is shorter so that makes her a really chubby girl. Anyway it was great to get out for a while and I did really good.
The above picture is close to our house. Ken went to Walmarts the other day, came home and really wanted me to see the mirrow finish on the lake so I crawled in the car for a few minutes and went with him and got a couple of pictures. This lake never has any pretty leaves around it because most of them are pine trees. I still haven't had a chance to get any pretty pictures and it is supposed to rain the next two day and will probably knock off all the pretty leaves. I am trying to find a good color of font that can be used on this background so bear with me please.
Have a blessed day everyone.
Helen

  1. Ahhh poor babies. My girls will be having a vet visit next month. This year won't be too bad. No shots. They each got the 3 year vaccine.

I love the picture it looks so wonderfully peaceful.

  2. Oh Helen, I am sorry - I was able to read the first bit about the dogs getting their shots and then had to stop. My eyes just cannot take the dark green type on red. Our boys are the same, so excited until they see where they are going and then their heads and tails go down.

  3. I always feel bad when we take Nin and Barney to see the vet ~ and they think they are going to the beach ~ they look so sad and I feel so guilty :o( so can understand how your Doggies feel :o) ~ Ally x

  4. Hi Helen, Poor doggies, if only they knew where they were going they wouldn`t have got in the car...lol! Jake`s the opposite and just loves going to the vet regardless of injections etc. Funny thing, hannah was just the same, it must be a Lab thing. I`m glad you managed to get out for a while, it must have been nice to see the lake again. Take care.

  5. PS: I prefer the green type to the yellow. I think it actually depends on the person in questions eyesight. I like it though. :o)

  7. i'm sure it did wonders for you to get out for a bit, and i know you must be itching to take some fall pix! there's still a lot of fall colors around, but i'm thinking it won't be long before everything is bland. take care...and it's really good to get an update from you.

  8. Poor dogs...lol... I wish I were only that 'chubby'. But hey, the dogs are happy that it's over now and they can go back to being your babies. That pic is really pretty. It may not have had all of the color you wanted, but it is still a very pretty shot. Better than the 28 degree night I got to enjoy with the leaves all on the ground already. As for the dark green... looks fine to me. God Bless Helen. I hope you and Ken continue to improve with your health. And keep your pictures coming. They're beautiful...

  12. Yep, we got our rain in the middle of the night last night. I heard it coming down. I am so glad to see you post with good news of your back feeling somewhat better. I know what you mean about taking the dogs. You feel like your betraying their trust taking them to the scary old veterinarian. Tip is the same way. We always get through it and I take her right to Petsmart afterwards and let her pick out a new toy and a chewie as a reward for putting up with going to the doctor. She will browse the aisles and pick a toy out of the bins, and thats the one we get. :) Have a good weekend and I hope your back continues to feel better. :) Love, Kelly

  19. If you had to lay in the back of the car it sounds as if you are still having some major back problems. So sorry to hear that. I had hoped that things would be improving by now. Hang in there. I have the strangest dog. He loves going to the vet even when shots are given.

  20. Seems this has been the week for Vet visits...and truly know the way your doggies acted are the same as how mine act too...there is a glass door where mine back away from too. So happy to read you got out...but the way you had to lay down again...not good...soon, I pray you can sit upright in the car...and that pain will just go away. The photo of the lake is breathtaking....love it. Brings back so many memories of your old trips on the boat. Hugs and love...sure missed you!!!! Joyce

I'm sorry to learn your back has acted up again keeping you almost house bound. The picture of the mirror surface of the pond is beautiful! Ken was right to want you to see it. I'm glad you were able to get the dogs to the vet for the shots even though they didn't like it. Take care and don't try to do too much until that back gets better.

  23. It's a great shot and I like pine trees. Pooches aren't big on shots and they aren't naive when rounded up for the next trip to see the vet.
