Coming Home

Thanks again for all your comments, good wishes ,and your prayers for Mira and us. We certainly appreciate all of them.
Mira called this morning and said they said for Ken to come on over that she could come home today. Well it took him 1 and a half hours to get there then he waited almost five hours and finally they are on their way home. Thank the Good Lord. The doc has already told her she would be in a good deal of pain until this clears up pretty good. They have cut way back on her meds and last night and today she has been in a lot of pain and just miserable.
I called Ken and he said the roads were really congested. I will be so glad when they get home.
At least they gave her the IV meds right before she left so Home Health will get that set up tomorrow hopefully. Ken will still have to get her pain meds when he gets home. I just hope the pharmacy will still be open. Now I pray for a quick recovery. Six weeks is a long time to have to take those meds through an IV. Well once a day. I dread all the pain she will have to go through yet. That makes me so nervous and makes me hurt for her.

Have a blessed evening everybody. Thanks again. You people are the best.
Hugs to everyone, Helen

  1. It will be good to have her home - for you and for Mira. That is good news, although I'm so sorry to hear she is still in so much pain.

Your snowball bush is gorgeous - your plants are weeks ahead of mine! It is nice to have a sneak peek at what will be "blooming" in my future.

  2. I sure hope things go well for Mira and the IV is no problem to her. Home is much better (on everyone)than the hospital when possible. That snow ball shot is good. YOu picked a good one, it looks so soft. Hoping for better days for you all!

  3. I will be praying that all goes well and in 6 weeks or sooner she'll be doing just fine. I know she'll be able to rest easier being at home and rest is an important part of recovery.
Your flowers are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures.

  4. Each day the sunset is one day closer to her healing. I pray it will go quickly and God will sustain her and the family during this trial! May God heal her body quicker than expected and may she be a medical marvel.

Love the flower, never heard of it! How beautiful!

  5. I hope she doesn't have to suffer long with that pain. Now at least she can rest, it seems so hard to do that in the hospital. You and Ken try to take it easy too. Prayers always, Sheila

  12. I am sorry that Mira had to go through the infection following surgery. Having family to care for her is a relief anyway. I had been without electricity for 9 days. The storm of May 8 cut power to over 80,000 people in S. IL. Winds of 106 m.p.h. My trees were uprooted in the wet ground and the damage in the area is great. One person in the entire area was killed by the storm. Trips for ice and a little propane torch for cooking coffee and also as a flame/light. I cooked on my little grill with apple wood. A little radio for entertainment and news. mark/salty

  16. Hi Helen...SO glad to hear that Myra is coming home...I hope they get home in time to get her pain meds, she will need them after that ride home. If those pain meds don't help, she needs to keep after them to up them..there is no need for her to be in bad pain when there are meds that will do away with it.
Will she be coming to your house or going to hers? Bless his heart, I know Ken will be worn out when he gets home to you ...and I know how worried you must be for them both.
I am praying for you all...
    love,
    carlene
