We feel like a Miracle is happening

We feel like a miracle is taking place. Mira went back to her back doc Wed and did not get good news. She cried most of the evening. Her MRI showed the Staph had ate almost all of that disk away. She said it looked like Swiss cheese. She still had not walked any without her walker and was still in tremendous pain.
We began to pray that a miracle would happen. Well yesterday and today she hasn't been in very much pain and walking and getting around is so much easier. In fact she used her walker to come into the bedroom where I was and had me watch her. She turned loose of that walker and made a circle in the room before going back to the walker. Thank The Good Lord. We pray that she will continue to get better each day.
We truly thank each one of you for your prayers, comments and good thoughts.

Now on to me. I did go to our surgeon Wednesday and he set up my light bulb down the throat thing and a colonoscopy for early next Monday. I dread the prep on Sunday. For those of you who have done that knows it is not a fun thing to do.

Here are a couple of our Monkey face flowers.

  10. I do hope and pray that Mira will continue to get better and that you won't mind drinking all of that stuff for the colonoscopy. Seems like it never ends when you are drinking it. The nice part of it is that you don't feel anything and don't remember it either.

  21. Hi Helen, God answers those who talk to him. I don't believe he is very busy making sure a person sends X amounts of emails in the next ten minutes, but uses this time to answer those of us that talk directy to him. He could care less about emails! When he is on a direct line with someone! Good luck to your daughter and to you on Monday. Vick and I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers for us. Skip

  23. Mira is having a disc problem I can understand from the description, but she is actually going back to work part time which is great. I will keep her in my thought's as well as you also Helen. I understand you are going thru some more health issues now. For Mira, I know how much the back brace helped me the first year and now I don't need it. My right ear has had a bad infection, agitated by concete fiber dust when cutting paneling for my siding. The doctor visit last Wed. is helping greatly with steroid pack, oral anti-biotic, and now a wick in my right ear since the ear drops can not get in the canal that is shut off. More expense now for a dustless cutting tool. I am resting finally for a few days and am going to a family reunion on my Mom's side here in Illinois. Mom will be in Texas as she does not want to fly at 86 yrs. old alone anymore. Her close family relation from Illinois was going to bring her by car in late August but they canceled and are in their late 80's also. I will see Mom's two sister's and my aunts' of her deceased brothers and familys'. My sister will pick me up in Kankakee IL at the Amtrak station. We will then go to her home next to Joliet IL, and then the following day to Peoria IL., where I was born in 1952. I am usually just worn out by working on my home and spend little time on the computer. Mark/Salty
