Eyes and a couple more Zinnas

Hi everyone. Just a short note to let you know that I came through my cataract surgery fine.
Only thing is the next day the pressure was up in both eyes.
I can see fine but the doc added another eye drop to the already 4  I was on so that brought it up to 5 kinds a day. 1 once a day, 2 twice a day, 3 four times a day.Takes all my thinking to keep them straight as to what goes when.
I see the doc again next Monday to see if the pressure has come down any.
I saw that beautiful butterfly again today and did get a couple of shots but they wasn't all that great. I put it in the header picture.
Here are a couple more Zinnia pictures. The heat is taking it's toil on them now.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and may it be a blessed one. Helen

  1. Helen, glad the surgery went fine, but sure hate to hear about the pressure problem. I think it would stretch my understainding to keep up that schedule every day. Sherry would surely have to help. By the way who do you girls get to help when you can't keep up? LOL

Good to see you pop up on the alerts. Now relax all you can and let the eye heal.

Take very good care of yourself, you know how us husbands depend on y'all being fit and up for anything!!!
I think that butterfly shot is fantastic. You could sell that to Hall Mark. Of course you always shoot a good flower shot.

  2. Glad your surgery went well. I hope the drops do the trick and get that pressure down. My zinnias are just about fizzled from the hot days we've had. The butterfly picture is wonderful. I've tried but I can never catch them.

  5. Helen,
Sorry to hear you are still having so much pressure in your eyes. I'm sure you were hoping for more reliefe after the surgery. Five different drops must get confusing.

Your photos are beautiful, as usual. I love the one you got of the butterfly.

Take care, I hope your eyes are feeling a bit better soon. You haven't written about your back lately, and I hope that means it hasn't been causing you too much trouble.

  6. hooray for the surgery.. but boo for the pressure... I sure hope it goes down so you don't have to do so many drops what a pain in the butt that is! I'd have to write it all down or for sure i'd mess it up!

    Hope you are better FAST!

  10. Glad it's over. Sorry to hear the pressure went up. I was lucky, didn't have that problem. My doctor gave me a chart to keep track of my eye drops and the time of day I used them. But I only had two kinds. Keep improving. Hope your week-end has been a wonderful one. We've had several cool mornings, but then it gets hot by noon.

  17. Hey,

  18. Hoping that your surgery is a great success Helen. The heat was the worst here as elsewhere this past summer, and our drought for months has finally ended with the last several days mild but good soaking rain. I am sure glad that I got Salty's tooth discovered last February and the Veterinarian could see on his gum line little indentations which were due to root collapse and infection probably. I had no idea he had a possible infection from a cracked tooth. It was a small mid tooth and I was given the fragmented pieces. He now gets brushed with dog toothpaste(no flouride)and is a malt flavor once a week. Also a gel named OraVet which I was told I could use just one half of the packet each week. I found applying it with my fingers inside his mouth was the best way. I hope you and Ken are doing well as well as Patches and Daisy. mark/salty

  19. Hey Helen :) I have missed reading your blog this summer and now that the days are getting shorter I am trying to see if I can be a more faithful friend and stop in to see what you are doing and how you are doing. Did you get the Thundershirts for the dogs yet? Tell Ken hello for me and hug the puppies. :)

  24. So glad your surgery went well. That pesky pressure can be a pain can't it. My Mom is on about four different drops as she has macular degeneration. My sister just had both eyes done and can see sooooooo much better now after getting the cataracts done. She had forgotten how bright colors are.

    Your zinnias are just beautiful!!!!
