The second try this morning

For the second try to make an entry this morning. I was almost finished with the entry when it just disappeared all at once.
Mira is supposed to come home tomorrow, Monday, if all goes well. She still has to use the walker and is still in a lot of pain. She will still be on the IV antibiotic for three weeks to make sure this is all gone and doesn't come back but thankfully it will be for thirty minutes only once a day unlike the first one which was close to three hours twice a day.

Ken's first patio tomato. It didn't come out sharp and clear.

First hibiscus blossom of the season. This bush is way over my head and the bloom was way at the top of course LOL.

This is the hibiscus look alike which is a wildflower of some sort which is about knee high. The undergrowth is flowers also but has not bloomed yet.

Have a blessed day everyone. Helen

  3. Is that hibiscus look alike a rose of sharon bush? Sure looks something like it. I have a rose of sharon but I guess it is a double and the center pistil and stamen are different.

I did hear my first, and saw him too, chickadee about two hours ago. I think he grabbed a bite to eat and left.

  5. She has certainly been in pain for a long time. That's awful.

I've never had hibiscus before, but I do now. I bought one plant, and then my daughter gave me a start. I can't wait to see them bloom. I didn't know they got that big!

  7. Glad to hear Mira is coming home. Visiting the Hospital or knowing someone is there and you can't visit is nerve racking. I know this whole episode is wearing everyone down. We pray it will soon come to an end.
    Love ya,

I'm jealous of your fresh tomato! It will still be weeks before ours are ready!

  12. That's great news Helen! It's been a long time for Mira and for you too but it sounds like she's finally on the mend. Sometimes when your entry disappears it's already been saved as a draft and you can retrieve it by clicking the draft button; that's one of the good things about Blogger which AOL never had. Your hibiscus is gorgeous but I hope you didn't climb that bush to get the photo?! Don't like to think you risked your back to get us photos! Lol! The second photom looks like some kind of pelargonium. Have a good week. Jeannette xx

  13. Glad to hear your daughter is coming home.
Your hibiscus is so pretty. Don't you just love the big blooms. I do not know what your lavender flower is. It reminds you of a malva of some kind. It is pretty what ever it is ;-)

  15. I enjoy seeing Ken's tomato and the flowers. I am so pressed for time I don't have a momemt this morning to use my camera or make a blog entry. I hope Mira will improve soon and be able return home. I am glad Patches is back home. I now have 2 workers that I work with on alternating days. I have worked 5 hours a day quitting at 1:30 p.m. to get out of the heat and indoors to rest. Seeing improvement on my building makes the pain of hip, neck, back strain, and now ear infection not as bad to think about. I am now predicting that with my current new worker I will have the building closed in by winter. My old worker does the best he can and has his duties with his 2 year old along with other difficulties making it to work with me. mark/salty
