Thing are looking up a bit.

Good evening everybody. Today is a rainy day here today. Things are still moving slowly around here. My daughter Mira is still having to use the walker but seems to be able to get around a little better. She has mostly come off of her pain pills and muscle relaxers. Something was causing pressure in her chest and shortness of breath so she is leaving them off.
She is still on the Antibiotics through the IV twice a day. The druggist thinks it was not a side effect of the antibiotics. Ken will take her back Tuesday to the doc who is in charge of this part. She still has about 9 days to go twice a day. I hope it will be all when that is finished. He will probably have a hard time finding the place and parking he is told. He is going to rent a wheelchair to get her where she is to go. Since she is feeling some better things have lightened up with me. Not as much worrying but she is still running some temp though.
Now on to a couple of flower pics.

  1. I'm so happy to hear that you have some positive news. Slow and steady, but looking up. I hope Mira's health continues to improve.

Your garden looks so cheerful! If I was walking by your house, I would just have to stop and admire those zinnias near your door.

  3. Glad to hear Mira is getting around better although running a fever must keep worrying you. Yes, as I remember that flower looks like a Bachelor's Button, but what a brilliant beautiful blue. Cheerful. Gerry

Hope things continue to improve, I know that is a drag for Mira for the IV twice a day, I bet she feels it will never end.

  7. Love the flowers, especially the blue one. I'm glad Mira is getting better. I know it's a slow process, and probably a little frustrating for her. Hopefully, soon all this will be behind your family.

  8. I am glad your daughter is doing better and you also. Its a long road. Love the blue in the first shot. It's hard to get that just right and I have never seen a poppy with double leaves like that. Very nice.

  14. Glad your daughter is doing better. The blue flower is a Cornflower, at least that is what we call them over here. Those poppies are amazing, I have never seen any quite like them. How lovely. Hugs.

  20. I am sad to read of the newest development with Mira. May she cope with this pain with the help of those treating her and knowing she is cared for by her family. At least she can be in some comfort in today's air conditioning. People must have endured great hardship in the past that we can be thankful for not having to endure that. The weather has had me down with rain and storm fronts effecting me along with upper back strain. I hope to get some work done today out in the humidity and 90 degree heat for just as long as I can endure and then come in to mild A.C. and rest. mark/salty

  21. Helen, your flowers are beautiful! I might have to dig up my flower bed and start from scratch! It is overrun by weeds.
