Prayers for Sara and her family

Hello everybody. I wanted to ask for prayers for Sara and her family who lost her Brother In Law over the weekend. I have been reading her blog for several months and have enjoyed watching her train her two Sheltie dogs Misty and Oreo. Misty is an older dog of hers that she has trained a good bit lately and Oreo is her younger dog who she is training who is so smart. He has won several Blue Ribbons doing the things Sara has trained him to do. Both of them are beautiful dogs and Sara is a wonderful person who is a school teacher. If you will please go by her blog and leave some words of encouragement for the family. Click here >> Here is Sara's blog .

Several of my readers have mentioned Ken in my last entry. He is feeling much better. Thank you for your kind words.
We both went to get groceries this morning, one headed in one direction and one in the another. It worked out pretty good. I tell you that if a person didn't have to eat, money would go much farther LOL.

This picture is a Butterfly Ginger Plant. It smells just like a Gardenia and blooms in the late summer and fall.
Wish I could put the scent right on this blog for your enjoyment.

Have a blessed day everyone and thanks again for your prayers and support for my family and me. Now I am off to lay down with an ice pack for this back.
Helen

  1. I read what happened via Dad's journal this morning. How sad I'm praying for the family.
The flower is beautiful and one I've never seen or heard of before. Glad Ken is better, but sorry your back requires and ice pack today. Take good care!

  2. Hi Helen!

Sorry it has been so long since I dropped by. I spend most of my online time on Facebook these days. Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the anniversary wishes. Hard to believe I am 50 years old now and have been married 31 years, which is over half of my life! So glad to know Ken is doing better. Will continue to pray for you both!

    Blessings!

  3. Oh, I'm sorry for Sara's loss. I will go by there when I leave here. I'm glad Ken is doing better. Bless your heart. I'm still praying for you all. I agree about money going further if we didn't have to eat. I've got to go later on & I sure dread it because I know it will be expensive. I love the flower. I bet it does smell good. Take care of yourselves.

  13. Helen, I found your blog because I too read Sara's blog! :) I saw (and smelled) that ginger flower when I was in Hawaii. We'd be walking along and I'd smell it, and if I looked hard enough, there it would be! I wish we could grow it in Michigan, it's smells just wonderful! My favorite scent!

  18. It is just so hard sometimes to know what to say or what to do. The Weaver of Grass has a good poem to be read and a very helpful paragraph after.

  19. Thanks so much for visiting me Helen . I shall pop across and leave some words of comfort to Sara too - every little helps when you are bereaved. Do call and see me again - I love dogs too and I see they feature heavily in your blog. Sorry about the back. Have a good weekend.
