Back home

Well the surgery is finished and I am back home. Still in a lot of pain. The doc said that place was in a mess with the spinal cord leaking fluid. He put a blood block in there to patch it up. Told my daughter that it might take 4 weeks for me to feel any relief. I can't sit but a few minutes at a time. So not getting on the computer but a couple of minutes at a time.
Thanks for all your prayers and good thoughts.
Later,
Helen

  9. oh my dear friend,
I pray that you're able to heal and recover from this surgery. Thank you for stopping by my blog. I really do appreciate it... I offer you up in prayer my friend. Lord, I pray that Helen continues to heal from this surgery. I pray that You bring comfort to her and Ken both physically and emotionally. Let them feel Your peace... it's in Your Name that I pray... Amen.

  10. Glad to hear you had your surgery and hopefully you will take it slow and easy so you can mend, Anna Mae is doing very good after her back surgery and removal of the blown disc's.

  11. When I had my hysterectomy many years ago they used an epidural for post-op pain management. The epidural catheter went through the epidural space (where it's supposed to be anchored) & pierced my spinal column, causing a spinal fluid leak. I had to have 2 blood patches (the 1st one didn't hold) to seal the leak. I know the pain caused by leaking spinal fluid.... when you're laying down it's fine but the minute you sit up your head feels like a solid rocket booster ready for take-off. Horrible!!

Good luck with your healing. One day this all will be a distant memory.

  12. Oh my dear, I am so glad you are back home and the surgery is behind you. I know the pain you still must be in, though. I hope the blood block holds. You stay in bed and heal. Take all the time you need. We'll be here when you get back. You are in my prayers.
