MRI results

Hey ya'll, Just a short note to say we went to the doc and got home safely before dark. No show snow. Weather people most always miss it.

The doc said that I have some arthritis in my spine was what was probably causing the pain. Said the MRI showed everything was still in place good and was stable. Said to just take it easy for a while and let it heal more. To take over the counter meds like aleve for it. I am glad I am not facing surgery again for a while anyway but wish the pain was gone.

Have a good night, Helen

  3. Helen, glad to hear you made it home safely. Sorry that you have arthur. Someone shared with me a natural recipe that helps with their arthritis...I've never tried it, so am not sure it will work or not, but they said they take golden or white raisins and soak them in gin. They eat a TBSP each day and it wards off their aches and pains. I hope you feel better soon! God Bless!

  4. I'm glad you aren't facing surgery, but if it's arthritis, will it actually "heal?" If you keep having pain, don't hesitate to ask your doc about it! In the meantime, take his advice and take it easy!

    Hugs, Beth

  5. Hi Helen, Be glad you haven't gotten any snow or ice. It has been raining here all day long and 28 to 31 degrees. Supposed to rain solid until tomorrow sometime and freeze, freeze, freeze! Glad there's no more surgery and everything is as good as it was. Skip & Vicki

  6. I am glad you don't need surgery again and didn't have trouble in the snow. I have been reading that Vit. D is best for Arthritis so have been increasing that. I guess I will try anything

  8. The news was good ... sorta ... that arthritis seems to be underrated;
    My husband liked to say ... " I knew all the Ritous brothers ... but that Arthur ... he was the worst .. just no good!"

  16. Happy to hear the good news. As for me and my knee, same report...arthritis...but the doc gave me a cortisone shot and it made a big difference in relieving the pain. (I had knee surgery in October, but pain remained, hence the cortisone shot).

  17. I'm very happy to hear no more surgery, but I sure wish you weren't in so much pain. Maybe time IS all you need, and soon things will be much better. I sure hope so.

  18. I am glad that your surgery is doing everything it is suppose to do as far as healing properly. Some people get infection and have terrible results. However arthritis is not good. My upper back and shoulder are giving me problems. I am exercising to try to work the scar tissue from my shoulder surgery. My right arm and hand numbness seem to be getting better by using the dumbbells. I am not sleeping well and feel tired today. I think moving to an Arizona dry climate is the only answer for my arthritis. My thought's are with you for a recovery through daily small exercise and rest. mark

  23. Helen,
    I'm also glad you don't have to have more surgery. I know arthritis pain is bad because I have it in one knee, and in my lower back. My Mom also has it really really bad. I hope the aleve will help with some of the pain. If you can take motrim, that will help some too. Motrim upsets my stomach, so I can't take too much of that. Hope you are having some good days.
    Hugs,
    Pat
